An un-gray dawn in Mahone Bay

I get to the Bay at least once a week, and I seem to often encounter some unique photographic opportunities. As usual, I take a swing around the harbour by the Irving to see what it looks like as the light begins the day; I was treated to a nice mix of hues and mist as this day began. The ice accentuates the mood. D60 and 70-300mm VR.

More spectacular winter imagery

It seems scenes like this enthrall me as much as fall colors, and the times for them seems just as short. We have had a very mild winter so far, so it is critical to captures such moments when they happen. The D50 is proving to be a wonderful photographic tool. The town of Bridgewater is my playground!
