I have been a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for almost 18 years. I have noticed one reoccurring theme with our buildings - they are poor places to shoot photographs. Drab backgrounds, odd-colored mixed lighting, it seems that things work against you for successful images.
Once in awhile, I am able to catch something worthwhile. I was visiting the Annapolis Royal branch on Sunday, I spied this gorgeous display in the Young Women's room. The sun back-lighting the whole thing made it look extra-special. Of course, I did not have time to capture the scene before sacrament started, so I had to wait until until 1pm. The sun had changed its angle, of course, still not as sweet as it had looked but very worthwhile to shoot.
D60, 16-85mm VR, and some files needed the SB-600.
