I was fortunate enough to find a refurbished Nikon D60 body which was virtually brand-new-in-box (Opanda says there were only 40 shutter firings!) directly from Nikon Canada. I am always excited to get new photo gear, but do not really expect to get necessarily better images. Last night's evening light lingered, beautifully, as I visited one of my favourite local vistas and liberally shot away until the sun was almost gone.
Technology has certainly made it easier to enhance what photographers can record - Vibration Reduction, spherical lens elements, savvy software - all contribute to the cause.
Anyway, the camera works fine and my eye seems to be as sound as ever.
