Some like it hot

I could see there was plenty of late-afternoon mist outside, so I grabbed the D60 and Tamron 17-50mm and blasted away. I did a short stroll down to the bridge and noticed that the rendition was nicer when the exposure was a little on the high side, as that tends to accentuate the fog.

I shot all of these files at f/4, and almost forgot about a fast zoom's dirty little secret - vignetting at wide apertures. You may not see it in these re-sized images, but it's there. Still, I am happy with the results of what was more or less a whim. Maybe I should have shot these or at least processed these as b/w files..........Thoughts?
