Waterscapes perfected?

It seems one of my favourite kinds of imaging involves water - either moving rapidly or perfectly still. Water is the essence of life and I simply find its textures and fluidity fascinating. The "dreamy" effect of movement is simple enough, you need only a good tripod, a cable release, and a quality lens that does not show diffraction effects at small apertures.

I prefer using the D80 since it has a handy DOF preview and a better viewfinder than my entry-level Nikon bodies. The AF-S 70-300mm VR is am amazing piece of glass for the money, even if not for the money!

The Carding Mills falls are about as ideal a backdrop for this kind of photography as I could hope to find.
