This is a 2005 model with the now-famous 6MP hybrid shutter, the same as my erstwhile D40. The main reason for this addition is to be my main "Realtor" camera as I am doing a lot of listing shoots with more expected down the road. Heck, for $200, I can't go wrong.
The IQ is rather stunning on the D50, but it does feel a bit dated - such as a 2 GB limit for the SD card, smaller LCD than my other models - but it's very comfortable and built like a tank. The VIVID color mode is very saturated, no need to add any warmth during PP.
Anyway, my first crack at testing it out was productive.
